I'd find the code ASAP from the dealer, like he said any loss of power and you will not be able to turn the radio back on. There are some procedures shops will need to disconnect the battery before proceeding and they will not be able to turn the radio back on for you (unless you are at the dealer).
If anyone else has brainstorming ideas for AUX for a non-command system that would be really cool. I looked at the link but I'm not sure that is something I would do.

Thanks for info on aux-in options for the MB 2000 320 CLK. After doing a little research I just sent the head unit to Becker AutoSound in NJ to attach a hard wired aux in line. These guys say they are the remnant of the Becker N.A. warrranty support team that existed before they were bought by Harman. If anyone has more info on this group or has had an especially good or bad experience with them, please let me know. The Dension looks like an elegant but pricey solution.

cant find a aux adapter
I have a 2000 clk 430 I just checked the glove box and found nothing also how do I know if I have a command what is a command of someone can put a picture up of the aux in the glove that would be great
