Where's my FCC ID for my key fob?

Hi guys,

I'm looking to buy a second key for my CLK 320 (w208). With my Audi, "they" said it can't be done, but I was able to do it by finding the FCC ID and reprogramming it. Does anyone know if this is possible with the w208?

Thanks!

This place is a joke.
Your only option is to present proof of ownership to your local dealership and order a new key. It will come pre-programmed for your car from MB. Shop around dealers have different prices.

It's not possible on the W208, because the drive authorization/immobilization system does not work at radio frequencies (i.e. RF).

That's a good thing, because RF signals can easily be intercepted, the encryption code copied and then.......poof, your Audi would wind up with a new owner.
