CLK A208 conv. 2000 comp. - MAF sensor?

Hi guys. My MB suddenly dont like fast accelarations. As soon as i press gas pedal more than half way, gear change down but revs want go higher then about 3000 and car start to jerks a little.....
No warning lights at all. Everything else works fine, even manual gear change (car is automatic) but no throttle response in upper range. I think its MAF sensor.
I took the sensor out and give it a clean with air pressure and electronic spray (didnt have sensor cleaning spray) but fault remains. I disconected sensor just to try it without and now the fault is opposite. At 1000 rpm it is missfiring and jerking slightly but above 2000 rpm works like a charm.
My toughts are that is definitively MUF sensor who is causing the problem and that my amator cleaning didnt help.
Any thoughts guys before i buy new MAF and replace the old one?

Glad you figured it out man. I'll keep these symptoms in mind if I have any similar issues myself. Thanks for the contribution!
