2001. CLK W208

Hello everyone.Clk w208 alarm siren problem.I got the car few minths ago and i replaced the siren since the stock one was corroded from battery problem.Bought new one used but problem not solved.The siren works but now and then.So i pull the plug out and test the 3 cables ( i suppose its voltage,ground and communication?).The one wire do have voltage but cannot see amything on the others for testing,Same on the alarm module too in the trunk.Any help would be much appreciated

However, after replacing your H3/1, as shown next (e.g. provided it was replaced with a previously and/or compatible used part), data signaling could still be problematic.



As example the PSE (A37) control module uses numerous sensors and switches, which may be itself or ia sensor, intermittently malfunctioning.

Also note that that you did not specify if you own a CLK coupe or cabriolet, or your country (e.g. where differences and/or version coding and also make a profound difference).

My suggestion would be to get a diagnostic trouble code readout, using your VIN, from a shop that has the MB SDS software, before proceeding with a DIY repair.

Thanks for your time.
It’s a CLK coupe 2001 year model in Germany.
I had the car on scan and no faults codes.
Also my alarm module works ok in the trunk,but the connectors on the siren maybe not since i got voltage only in one of the three wires.
