I just purchased a 2001 clk 430 with 34,500 miles. its red with black interior and i absolutely love it. one problem though, I have no owners manual, dealer is ordering it. in the meantime, how do i turn on the foglights, what is the switch by the transmission shifter for, it is marked S and W. also how do i lock and unlock the doors from the interior.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

welcome aboard ... the fogs when you turn ur headlights on or turn the headlight light switch one turn to the right, pull on the swtich (knob) and then ur fogs will turn on, pull it twice and ur front and rear fogs will turn on. S and W, W will start ur drive in 2nd gear. there should be a button somewhere on ur center console for the lock and unlock button, hope this helps and welcome to the W208 team

There's a button on the dash for the lock/unlock feature (to the right of the hazard triangle).

Keys are expensive...$100 or more.

The purpose of the W/S switch (Winter/Summer) or (Winter/Sport) modes is that you can switch it to "W" in the winter time. It programs your transmission to start out in 2nd gear in order to reduce wheelspin on slippery surfaces.

Welcome!

Welcome! You'll find a wealth of information here and most are eager to help in any way they can.
This place is addictive though so beware. I find myself spending much more time than I should but have been swamped with work lately so have been out of touch a good bit.
Good luck with your new ride and post some pics when you can.
