Another question about wheel spacers...

Ok, I did a search but couldn't find an exact answer. I am thinking about getting H&R 15mm wheel spacers for the rear. People keep saying things about some bolts? If I get these spacers I need to order longer bolts as well? How long? If it is like most cars the bolts are permanently attached to the axle, is that how the CLK's are? Seems like that would be a big pain to replace, is it something I could do myself? Thanks in advance for the help...

if you get 15mm spacers, then you would need to get bolts that are 15mm longer than stock.

MB uses bolts to mount the wheels, unlike most imports who uses lugs (the bolts are attached to the wheel bearing)...

however, adding large spacers gets into the issue of safety... larger spacer = longer bolts... the longer the bolt, the more flex and safety issues it can present.

great thanks! I'm thinking about getting somewhere between the 10 and 15mm ones, so hopefully the new bolts wont be too long.
