ORIGINAL DTM widebody kit
Hey everyone has told me that you cant get the widebody dtm kit unless you custom make it. But there are still 208 dtm race cars that have the kit, and when they wreck it they have to buy a new one, so there has to be a way to purchase the kit. If there is im not sure if it would fit the street version clk. Does anyone know of any contact info i can use to find the race kit?

Good luck and let us know the results. BTW, I tried getting just some tail lights from a DTM car (LOL, no go)....I ended up have them done elsewhere.

Yeh, if the kit you are thinking of is their CLK-GTR...I am out. That is tooo much for me. Sweet, but too much for the street. IMO

dtm kit
Can anybody send me a link to the renntech kit's pics, or post a pic, how wide is the kit, I want it like 3 inches wider on each side. I'm gonna try to contact that place, I noticed that the door on thee racecar is shorter, so I have to figure that out.

1. There are no more w208 DTM cars racing.
2. It's not a widebody "kit" but an entire Carbon Fiber body baked in house.
3. When a DTM car does have a shunt, the new body pieces are made in house by HWA- the constructors of the cars. They're not bought, HWA owns the cars, controls the cars, and does not supply "customers" with off-the-shelf parts. Buy a car from them, and I'm sure you can buy whatever replacement parts you need (and for the most part they make the parts themselves)
4. The DTM cars, since 2000, are nothing like the street cars and do not share any parts (Well, there was some talk that the 208 DTM car had the same trunk as the street car, but that's the only part)
Good luck with your project.
