Windshield washer nozzles are loose.

Both of my washer nozzles are loose, and as a result they angle forward a bit - so the fluid is aimed at the lower part of the windshield rather than the center. I can't figure out whether they're supposed to stay in place using a press fit, or a clip, or some other means. Anyone know? In the photos you can see how it rests normally (angles forward) and with my finger pressing on it (the angle it's supposed to be at).

Take a look underneath the hood. They are held by a protruding clip. You have to squeeze it to pull them out.

Yours either broke off or are to depressed to go back to original position. I had to remove mine to paint the hood. The issue of removing them is if they are really old the 90 degree nipple might break off inside the female end of the sprayer. I had to replace my whole hose because mine nipples broke off and I could not locate just the 90 degree nipple. If the tab is still there, I'd use a heat gun to soften up the plastic tab and bend it back ever so slightly with some sort of a hook. Be careful as you might over heat the are and make the paint bubble up

Thanks, TheUnknownMan - I see now what it's supposed to look like. There are either no clips anymore or they're totally compressed to the point of invisibility. I've ordered a set of "universal" (so-called) nozzles and we'll see how they work. Meantime a couple of strips of packing tape are keeping them in place.

Well, I'm happy to say that I fixed this problem for about ten cents. For each nozzle, I wrapped a small plastic zip-tie around its base under the hood, pulled the zip-tie tight, and pushed the tie up against the underside of the hood while pressing down on the top of the nozzle. I'm sure the fix won't last forever but it's great for now.
