AC Blower Fan Inop

1999 CLK320 Cabriolet

AC blower fan motor stopped working.

Checked 3 applicable circuit breakers. All looked good. Replaced anyway.

Have 14.2 Volts at connector to the fan regulator between the red/blue and brown wires with engine running and fan commanded on.

Got new fan motor assembly and regulator. Substitution of parts in all possible combinations still results in no fan motor operation.

There is a third white wire to the regulator connection. Not sure where it comes from but I think it goes to a sensor. Best guess is a “sun” sensor.

If it is from a sensor, which sensor?

Where is the sensor located?

There is an sensor on the back of the rear view mirror.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
