AC SENSOR VALUES AND ERROR CODES: SENSOR 7 EFFOR 416 NO COLD AIR AND HI PRES. W/REFIL
Hello Anyone and Everyone:

My 2001 CLK430 Cabriolet has:
  • no cold air,
  • error code 416,
  • when attempting recharge high-pressure reading on can of recharge [ possibly indicating compressor no engaged];
  • sensor number 7 will move from a value of 8 to 9 when a turn ac off and on while driving
Is there any other check I can do to narrow down whether the compressor needs replacement? Trying to avoid $900 repair. I have another 2001 CLK430 but I thing had a good compressor.
