No Replacement for cracked rear window trim 2001 CLK 430 ???
Hello all! Looking for some guidance. The rear window trim ( moulding?) on my 2001 CLK 430 convertible has cracked. Just had to have hydraulic replaced so I could open top. It was cracked before hydraulic issues and got worse after repair. I am now told there are no replacement parts and looking at having to replace complete headliner which would include this part. The headliner is in pristine condition, as is the vehicle. I am very frustrated with information I have been getting from Mercedes shops I have called. I hesitate to put top up/down because don’t want to damage headliner that is hanging down from back window. I see others here that have had similar issues with other models. Is there an aftermarket alternative? Thank you in advance for any insight.
