My CLK 2000 came with a disk version 7/00. The dealer wants $168 for the new version. Are there any other resources? I think $168 dollars is a rip off, big time. I tried Navtech but they told me to call Bosch which told me to call my dealer. Help.

The dealer is the only source so far I have found for these. The newest version that is out is 7/01 .. The 7/01 CD's are data that was current as of March 2001, then released for final matering and duplication for the 7/01 (July 2001) press. Bosch updates these CD's every year for a July release.

Didn't I hear that some owners recieved free cd's on their second year of car ownership?

I know that BMW sends their owners a FREE NAV CD update 6 months after they buy their vehicle. Mercedes sadly doesn't do the same.

I got a free CD at the start of my second year. It came direct from MBUSA, not the dealer.

Went back to dealer.. When they updated the softwear there is a command that they can enter to center the text in the display. He entered it and problem solved.
