A/C Keeps going out

My A/C stopped blowing cold air so I brought it to the dealer to have it fixed (they managed to crash the car while fixing it!!) It has been blowing ice cubes since (about 2 months) and then about 20 minutes ago...Bam warm air!!!! Any ideas out there? Should I Plug in my scanner?

EVAP Emission Control Pres Sensor Fault....or so it says in the book. You're better using your climate control diagnostic functions to check for the problem.

As a matter of fact, look up the values for 5 and 7 and report back. (I've got LOTS of experience with CLK A/C)

Have you ever seen anything like what I talked about in this thread? Out of 938 views, no one has heard of it and since we're all MB Fans, we just deny that they'd ever do something like that.

Well I checked out my handy 208 repair cd and it seems you stumbled upon the version coding feature of the climate control module. You can change different settings there.

How do I get to it? The first time was accidental but I'm sure someone else might run into a similar situation down the road. I think there was another guy on the board with the same EC problem and he solved it by spending the $500

Well...just how to get into it I guess then, not how to do stuff inside of it. It only took a few button presses to get in. What about if you press the Print Screen button on your keyboard, paste it onto a word document, and email the file to me?

Excellent, I'll try it out later.

If that's bittorrent you have, Azureus is a really good client: http://azureus.sourceforge.net/ Screenshot: http://azureus.sourceforge.net/img/s...y_torrents.png

It's burst actually that I'm using. Does Azureus offer anything special?

I'm not sure about burst but it shows two windows open for it. Azureus manages everything in one window and you can set global upload caps. You can prioritize different torrents and there's a plugin called SafePeer that connects to the PeerGuardian database to ban risky IPs (riaa/mpaa).

Here's SafePeer: http://azureus.sourceforge.net/plugi...lugin=safepeer

TresX, the instructions in that picture don't bring me to what I accidentally found my way to a couple months ago. I didn't get a chance to try your instructions up until now...another member is having similar problems with his AC.

Try to explain to me exactly what you saw when you entered the mode and I'll look it up for you when I get a chance.

1998 CLK 320 RED
Talking Wow

Wow..you guys seem to know a whole lot about CLKs..I have a post out on electrical systems and sensors...questions. My A/C compressor was just replaced.

I have a feeling that I need to get as much replaced on my 1998 320 as I can in the next 6 mos, as I have a Starmark unitl then
I would also be interested in where to obtain a detailed breakdown of sensor codes
