Evap leak
Been chasing a evap leak, replaced the purge valve, gas cap, smoke test found a leak at the canister vent according to my mech. Drove the car for a week and code came back.
I bought myself a smoker, what i can't do is close the canister vent. I don't have a scan tool to activate that. Unless someone can recommend one that has the function. If i take off the vent and plug that by hand or something i can test the canister and the rest of the system right? There is a pressure sensor, is the below the rear seat?
My gas cap is always a bit moist around the seal, happened with the old cap and same with the new. Don't see that on my other cars but I'm not sure what's causing that here and possibly what's causing my code?

i was under the car tightening the bolts on the rear control arm, i touched a hose that was loose, wondered wtf, pulled on it and it was disconnected, looked around to see where it might connect to, and i see that nipple. Hopefully this was the cause of my evap codes. The other end goes to the fuel filter i think.
