40A fuse blowing
Having an issue where I changed out the blown 40A fuse in the trunk that is flat and screwed in line to the power distribution for the convertible pump and solenoids. It immediately popped upon toggling the convertible top to open. Does this mean the pump is shorted or could maybe a solenoid be shorted here? Aside from replacing the fuse, disconnecting items and trying it are there any recommended paths to troubleshoot this? Oddly enough, the head rests go up as well when the car is started though.
This is on an 04 CLK 500.
Thank you!
