Exhaust Tip Removal/Options?

Has anybody swapped out their exhaust tip? I don't think the current one looks bad necessarily, but I was just interested in seeing how some other ones looked. There's a single screw at the bottom of it, and I thought that was the only thing holding the tip in place, but after screwing with it a bit, I can't seem to get it off. Any tips for removal? I am always quite cautious of doing things to my car, so I didn't want to start just whacking the back of it with a rubber mallet lol

Here's a picture of one someone is selling, circled red is where the screw is at the top/(bottom of the tip)

Only one bolt holds it on, outboard end tilts upwards from memory. Put mine on a polishing wheel, came up like new.

Hmmm, I just tried with no luck. Figured maybe giving your method a go after the engine was just running/exhaust was warm would make it easier, but no luck. I've never tried taking one off before so I'm not sure how rough I can be with taking it off and I don't see any videos at all about anyone doing it. Thanks for the reply though! I'll keep it in consideration

Another pic from bottom

I had mine dipped in chrome from a company in San Deigo, Ca in '05, and came out beautifully! Happy I did it!

That is almost identical to how mine looks - I like it but I was interested in seeing how some other ones look. How did you manage to take it off? Mine is stuck on there pretty good
