Seat gremlins

Hi all,

I picked up a 00 CLK 320 cabrio a few weeks ago with good service history and in pretty nice shape. I’ve been having intermittent electrical glitches…passenger seat has stopped traveling up and back, radio LCD works intermittently, now driver seat controls inoperable. I’m assuming there could be a common cause…a fuse or? I’m looking for ideas before I investigate further. thanks in advance.

yep…thanks. Sadly manual no real help…newish battery, fuses all good. Will disconnect battery and see if that works.

Brushes in motor probably worn out, just be aware if you disconnect your seat wiring and turn on your ignition you will trigger a hard airbag fault code. I undo fastening down bolts and remove seat fwd bolts to swivel seat base up to get access to motors
