Drivers window issue with CLK430 convertable

Hello,

Tell me if I'm right. Should the window on the drivers door go down a little bit when I open it,,,,then go back up into the top channel when I close it?

Right now I have to manually drop the window a bit to close the door, then raise it up when door is shut.

If I don't, the top of the window hits on the convertible top and wont fully close.

Thanks for any help

Ron

You need to make sure you do a window calibration /reset. Sit in the car with the doors shut, turn ignition enough to operate the windows. Send the window down and hold the button till you hear a faint click, usually after a second or two. Then press and hold to send the window up and hold until you hear a click. Repeat for each window. Procedure best done with no engine running. Anytime the battery is disconnected you will have to reset the windows, seats and steering angle sensor. The brakes will reset the first time you use them
