I just bought a 1999 CLK320 on OfferUp. I want to service it, help!
I have no idea what to do other than an oil change and oil filter. It has 235k miles, I want to make it last till 300k hopefully. It’s my daily right now, I bought it so I can drive to and from work and the gym. Anybody recommend what I could do to maintenance wise?
When I purchase used vehicles I do what I call a reset so that I set a few baselines.
New wipers, Oil and filter, new belt, transmission service, brake fluid flush, coolant flush, rear diff service, fuel filter.
Check brake lines, pads, rotors, pulleys, suspension components.
..Did you do a PPI before purchase? PPI is Pre purchase Inspection, but if spend a few $$ on getting looked over, as member stated fluids, brakes, tires, rubber bits, and suspension. This should get you through the fall-winter months. Digging the color...GL

Anytime I buy a used car (Over 50,000 miles) I just replace all fluids unless I have proof the fluids where done. For this age and mileage you should do a battery, engine and transmission mounts along with belts and all fluids. Start there.
