New to the forums, picked up a CLK yesterday
I picked up a 99 CLK 430 yesterday, Dark Blue/Gray Leather, at an amazing price. I'm more than impressed, drove it back from VA to NYC yesterday in this crappy weather and so far it has lived it up to all of my expectations and far surpassed them. My previous cars include a Loaded 99 GS 400, 00 S4 6 Spd, 2K2 Maxima 6 Spd, 00 GT Convertible, 98 Range Rover SE, etc. This car blows all of them out of the water, the GS was fast on the highway, and on a straight line, very reliable but I HATED everything about it after a little while. I knew Lexus couldnt match the MB and BMW feel so I had to try it out.
I realize that supposedly these cars have a lot of bugs, tranny problems, but I pretty much have no business owning this car with the budget I put aside, I'm thrilled and maybe even ignorant about all these bugs. I would like to see for myself.

So far I'm planning to do an HID install. I have an aftermarket HID kit laying around so I will take care of that today. Also, as cheesy as it may sound, I'd like to put an AMG badge on the right side of the rear. (Did 2000+ come with that?)
I would also like to tint the windows, but no real rush, until the weather starts getting warmer. As well as some monoblock chrome 18's or maybe dipping the stock 17's in chrome.
