Yes, I’ve had some good success with repairing the seams on my black top which were doing the same. 1) loosen and retract the top slightly, ensure that the back part of the top can lift, then turn off the car 2) use superglue to glue the joint together, and let cure 3) use tape to mask the joint 1/4” wide and apply black RTV and trowel with finger tip, remove tape while RTV is still wet
Be sure you use a flexible fabric glue as this section must bend when retracting. I have had good results using Aleene's Super Fabric Glue available on Amazon. Clamping that area is a challenge. I stuffed cloths behind the seam and leaned a heavy board against the outside.
