youngest benz owner in here?

I'm 25 and I bought my clk when I was 24
I started telemarketing briefly after I turned 18. My father told me to get out of sales and get a real job. Well......at 24....I bought a black opal on black clk430.......CASH! I also own a 93 300zx with many many upgrades and an 88 300zx coupe that i restored.
I may be young, but I earned every bit of my clk.
Anyone have suggestions for putting a lot of bass.....say 3 12's while being able to keep the factory fiber optic sounding like it's in sync with the quad? What are the best springs to buy to lower her 3/4 of an inch?
I think of young people that own nice things as "the few who DO"

E550 Coupe
haha, this thread is loooong. i turn 16 this sunday and after 5 years of working for my parents being their company's IT guy and helping to bring in online sales i've gotten a 98 CLK (www.pchopper.com is the main site and www.wristbandsforless.com, www.bargainbands.com, and www.discountgloves.com are subdivisions) . we made an arrangement where i would get 2% of the total online sales and interest on the amount they owed me but in the past 5 years, i've had no real use for any money so i'd just put the figures in a little book. December 02 the total was $8500 - add in maybe another $750 (sales are growing exponentially) in commisions and interest to get to $9250. Adding in an extremely small 2 hours of work for 180 days each year for 5 years multiplying that by $6/hour and you get an additional $10,800 to bring the total to $20,050. CLK was $16,500 :-D Didn't even want a CLK - I had my eye on a C280 Sport for the longest while.
About the Asian thing...haha, yea, in the glove compartment of was a little booklet for the Asian Student Assocation at UCF and some cassete. I think a Vietnamese UCF student owned the car before me.

most of the young chinese i know will pick the 3-series first, because of there is a coupe available. the real reason i think is that girl somehow knows more about Bimmer than Merc.![Wink](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
BTW MOM is very powerful...lol...that is how my sister got a 2000 CLK320 instead of a Boxster or SLK in the first place.

So i'm guessing girls knows more about bmw, since there are more of them around. Personally, I think MB sports car stands out more on the street than a bimmer. at least in vancouver i think.

I'm Taiwanese and 25 years old. Never had a car as a youth and parents and I haven't spoken since I was a teenager.
Worked full time and paid my way through full-time school, doing various things at various places thoughout my college years (Pizza hut cashier -> Women's clothing boutique manager -> Check encoder at Citibank -> Junior Project Manager at Chase -> Network engineer at MTV -> acquired various technology certifications and became consultant at Merrill Lynch).
I then used the money to purchase my own Condo. Just made Vice President at Merrill and scraped up just enough to purchase a used 99clk320 with no warranty (very problematic and scares me to hell with how much maintenance will cost) after trading in my 2000 Honda Civic (my very first car I purchased when I first joined Merrill, I was sooo proud!). Didn't want to overspend on a car because its more important for me to invest in my future via real estate, etc. I'm looking now for a new multiple family home to purchase before I'll look into upgrading to a better NEW car.
Lots of respect to folks like Benzo and willworkforfood, who have succeeded with their own businesses. I've started my own web business but am not doing as well as I hoped.
To the younger folks on this board who have had financial assistance from their parents, there's no shame in that. None at all! Just keep in mind how potentially tough the world can be (especially for new graduates in today's economic climate), and thank GOD you have such wonderful parents. Don't be like me! Respect them and give back before its too late!

And, of course, there is now a Samoan drivin' a benzo. Yeah, you all are probably thinking Somalia or something but Samoa is a Polynesian island in the South Pacific.
I am 25 and just recently bought my first benz (used). My first car was a hand-me-down Datsun 200sx from my sister who was fortunate to move up to a used Nissan pickup (king cab though, spoiled brat!). I worked hard and bought my Expedition and threw some dubs and a sound system in when I was 22. Then I bought a house the next year and two years later I now have my CLK to park in my driveway as well.
Parents helped only by bringing me up well and teaching me the value of a dollar and making sure I always worked for everything I owned. They had the money to buy me a nice car when I was in high school but that might have changed the way things ended up for me, I'll never know.
All I know is that it's coo' when the folks buy these kids their benzos at 15 or 16 but it will never be as enjoyable as driving around in something that you know you sweated for every single dime that went into paying for it. I am not being a hater just know that there is always a difference in pride.

2000 CLK430 & 2000 Expedition on 22's
To add my story, I bought my 2000 Expedition puts some 22's, screens, xbox, etc on it when I was 18. I bought my 2000 CLK430 when I was 19. Every cent of both paid for by with my own hard earned cash. All in all, I spent around $80,000 on both. Now I'm looking to buy a house to park them ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I think the point about people hating on those who's parent bought them the cars, was the fact that in GENERAL, people are less likely to appreciate them (read through the entire post about all the people who've wrecked their cars, and you'll find this to be overwhelmingly true) and also the harsh reality when you're on your own to maintain the luxurious lifestyle. Also by having to buy everything yourself, you have more desire to work your *** off and develop a work ethic. All spoken in general terms, there are of course exceptions to every rule.
Hell at the time, I'd take a new MB if my parents offered, but in hindsight, I'm sure glad they never offered, as I wouldn't be anywhere close to where I am at now.
Just my 2 cents.

I'm 26 almost 27. I'm paying for my own car and always have since my first car when I was 21.
That's not to say that it would have been nice if my mom was able to buy me my own car. I feel as long as you don't take it for granted and as long as you appreciate it then it doesn't matter who got it for you.

15 - 98' Honda Prelude (practice car)
16 - 97' M3
18 - 00' CLK430
My daddy is a wholesale car dealer...ain't life great?
But hey, my #1 priority in life is to make the bling so i can take care of my parents...and i'm workin on it. heh
