New owner of a 03 clk500...worst experience ever!
New to the forum. I purchased an 03 clk500 blk/blk and it was the worst experience of my life. The car is great, lots of power, looks classy, smells new....the problem was what happened after i picked up my benz. I live in Maryland, and the car was in ohio. Flew in on tuesday morning, signed paperwork, and left the dealership at 4pm. It normally takes 6 hours according to mapquest for the trip home but the damn snow~...
It took me 3 hours to go 30 miles. I was still in columbus after 3 hours!! Luckily, there were no bad accidents on my side of the highway, but i saw 3 major ones on the other side. Whew, i would have been stuck til now if i were.
Going through pennsylvania was a living hell. Soooo much snow and ice that i had to drive 30-40 mph. I just dont trust rear wheel cars in wet weather plus i spun out in rain a few years back, so i'm paranoid as hell.
Stopped in at taco bell on the way back and the car cant get out of the place. I had to back it up and get a running start to get it out of taco bell.
Finally reached maryland, and the weather was clear, roads were dry, so i decide to punch it to make up for time. took it up to 120mph at times. Mostly i was cruising at 80-90mph. Then of course i get pulled over for going 78 in a 55. F-ing great.
Total trip took 9 hours. I wish i had gotten the car in better weather and i should have waited to pick it up til later this week, but i just wanted to drive it sooooo bad.
Anyways, that's my sad story...I'll probably be asking a lot of dumb questions on the forum so look out~

thanks dem
Forgot to add that when i got home, i tried playing a cd in the car to see how the stereo was. NO CD CHANGER!!! The dealer said it was a misprint in their ad!
Luckily they are paying to put one in

I've heard of a few people so pleased with their new ride that they drive around for 9 hours anyway - at least you can say you were actually spending the time going someplace.
