Nice! It looks great! Thanks for the pics.

My only issue is the damn climate control!!!!!! Why isn't it digital?!?! ****ing MB has done it again, it gave all the 05 C-Classes and the 05 and apparently 06 CLK 320/350's the same ugly "analog" climate control with the rotary knobs.

i have the digital climate control in my 2004 model

to be honest its nothign special just a pain in the **** when you go from hot to cold or vice versa you have to hold the button down for literally 2 minutes i think the rotary would be much quicker and easier

I know, but I had the digital climate control on my old w202, and it looked a lot nicer. The digital climate control that they have on the 05 CLK500 is hott...

Well, the salesman tells me that this one is manufactured by Becker, as opposed to the previous one, which was built by Siemens. He claims that the new one plays DVDs on the "music" slot, and also MP3s. I will know for sure as soon as I take delivery and begin playing with it. It would sure save me the cost and hassle of installing an iPod (my current car has a Phatbox, so I am used to having lots of music available)

Mine doesn't come with the sport package. I assume the backs are 245 as indicated in the brochure.

I don't have pictures of the front rims but they looked like the back ones.

I don't have a clue regarding the ventilated front brakes. I will take a look next time I see the car. How can one tell? What should I look for?

Very nice, I can see why you decided to keep it. Let everyone know how you like the 350/7G driving experience. This car was not 'ordered incorrectly'. They sent what they had available. It takes many months to get a truly custom car from MB. They were just hoping you would like it enough to buy it....that's why they call them salesmen

Not exactly the case. A few months ago I placed an order for a CLK320 but canceled it when I learned of the arrival of the 280 & 350 engines. I then asked the salesman to place an order for a 280, manual with Avantgarde finish, as soon as the new price list was available. Well, a few weeks later, before he could even place the order (the price list was still unavailable) he informed me that a CLK350 was being built exactly to the specifications detailed in my CLK320 canceled order, and the car had my name tag on it. The exterior and interior colors, the options, the wood finishing... everything corresponded to the canceled order. The car arrived two weeks later. When I learned that the price was lower than the previous CLK320 model, I decided to take a look at it. And when I saw it, I decided to keep it.

In Spain, as in most of Europe, ones does not get to go to the dealer and choose a car from the lot. In most cases, one must order it and yes, it might take several months for the car to arrive.

See what a good salesman he was....he convinced you it was ordered wrong. Common ploy at any car dealer anyplace in the world. Transmission, finish, motor are too basic to make errors on all at the same time. Anyway, it doesn't matter, you like it and that's all that counts. Let us now how it drives.

The manual explains how to change the rear bulbs, so unless I am missing something they are not LED.

I guess I did not explain myself correctly: the car was built exactly to my specifications (the ones on the canceled order), except it is a 350 and not a 320. Unlike what happens in the US, where the cars come equiped with certain packages, in most of Europe you pick your options one by one. It is therefore highly unlikely that a car with my particular options was manufactured and brought to Madrid by accident.

CLK 200 KOMPRESSOR Elegance
Mmmmm love the car ! Love the wheels too ! I dont really limke the rear lights though, suppose when I see them in the flesh I will make up my mind !

I can confirm what Ahm says regarding the options, it is like that too in Ireland. There is nothing extra as standard in a 500 that isn't in a 200K. You pick every option one by one !

You folks in the US are spoilt AND we have to pay so much more for so much less. My CLK200K with auto, leather and metallic cost me the equivalent of €70,000 and a 500 would be over €100,000 plus options !!

I went in last week to place an order for a new Cab but my dealer says wait until September to order it for delivery in Feb/March otherwise I may end up with the last of the 'old stock' since RHD production starts after LHD. There are still some unsold MY04 coupes around now !
