I think I might have a different set of lights than you mikey. The bulbs don't match the xenons exactly it's a little bluer. It's either the LEDs aren't as white as yours or my xenons aren't as blue. You said you got yours from superbrightleds.com right?

Go to http://www.imageshack.us
Click the 'Browse' button on the page
Find your picture on your hard drive
Click the 'Host' button on the page
At that point, your pic will be uploaded to their server, and the page will refresh with instructions about different ways to link to your picture.
In my case, the address to my picture was http://img47.imageshack.us/img47/528...parison0wf.jpg
To display the picture, you have to put a 'tag' around the address to it. To do it, you just type after it. For example, in my case it was like the following, but without the space:

Mikey, do you know of any LEDs that are white enough to match my stock xenons? Those xenon bulbs on ebay, will they work for the stock xenons?

It looks like you can get 6000K and 8000K replacement bulbs from a ton of online vendors, the 6000K Philips Ultinon and a couple of the no-name 8000K bulbs look nice. Do I need to get the D2S or D2R bulbs?

Mikey, are the ones you're selling the 8000k ones? Are they the same ones on your car? I'm interested but I'm not sure because I want to go with the whiter look, but then again your set up looks pretty good.

One more thing, did you install the xenon replacement bulbs yourself, because the owner's manual keeps warns not to because of the high voltage and it doesn't tell you how to get in there.

yup same ones, i changed the bulbs myself, was never good at reading warning signs, always had a thing for taking stuff apart. I wouldnt worry about the high voltage part but more on breaking the bulbs since they are so fragile. I must admit though, first time trying to change them was a bit tricky. Taking the bulb out was easy but putting it back in wasn't so fun. If you do plan to change them yourself, i can try to talk you through it.

My LEDs don't look as bright as yours. Could it be that the connection through the wire tap isn't that good, or does it work as long as there is a connection?

Your connection is probably fine - if you don't have a good connection, the LEDs will just blink on/off. Mine aren't horribly bright looking either - the appearance in the pics depends alot on the angle that I take the picture. One thing that might help would be a less directional LED mount - this 6 LED part has all of the LEDs surface mounted pointing in the same direction and so the relfector isn't really being ultilized like it is with a standard bulb where lights comes out in all angles and is then focused by the reflector.

Mikey, have you tried those wide angle 5-LEDs? would they look brighter than the focused 6-LEDs? Would they make use of the reflector like what frisco was saying?

Goppy, can you take more pics from different angles? Also, could you take one in the daylight with the light off because I want to see how the bulb looks regularly. How much did you get them for? Thanks.
