Help with Inner Parking Bulbs

Hi,

I recently (about two months ago) installed new inner parking bulbs in my car cuz i couldn't stand that the stock ones were a different color than the Xenons. I decided to use PIAA 19169. They look MUCH MUCH better than the stocks but they're not bright at all. I've heard that PIAA 19172 are better (whiter and brighter) so I'm thinking to purchase them. Which have you guys used, if you've changed them? And... Are you guys satisfied with your respective bulbs?

I saw you pic on the other thread with the PIAA 19169. Looks good. Have you seen any pics with the PIAA 19172? Does anybody in the forum have them? Please post pics.

Im using PIAA Xtreme Whites in both the parking lights and clear corners. It gives the car this really clean white blue purple color.

I met a guy on benzworld who bought them but he hasn't posted pix. I'll email him to see if he can post pix so I can see them. Here's the link to that thread if interested:

Scovit,

Can you post pix of your lights if you don't mind? If you can't that's fine. But does yours have the White-Blue-Purple looks or is it just White?

The biggest problem that you are going to find is that your HID bulbs are really white and no matter what bulb you decide to go with... it just wont be as clean looking. The closest you will probably get is leds (but for some reason led bulbs blink in the clear corners ). Thats why I decided to go with the white-blue-purple color and also because PIAA Xtreme White is "supposed" to be the closest bulb to HID.

Got any pics of your LED city lights? I have 8000k HIDs, I need something to match well with them. No bulbs so far have been able to do the job. Thanks!

Damn that looks sick, how many Kelvin are your HIDs? 6000k or 8000k? Also did you drill the LED in the housing? Where did you buy them and what kinds are they?

the leds are pretty cheap, actually cheaper than the piaa's, i buy mine all over the place. The one place that i recommend is http://autolumination.com . The ones I recommend using since I've tried them all, 194 6led Led Bulbs. It's 4.99 each but worth it. Perfect fit, no drilling. You will also need 2 LED Load Equalizer which he sells also. Make sure to get 2 (6 OHM DELUXE ALUMINUM) one for each side of the parking light, you will need those in order for the leds to work. If you guys need some installation info let me know.

Forgot to mention im using 8000k

I have PIAA 19171. It wasn't what I expected it to look like but it came out pretty cool. My car is black and at night time, the light glows a blue to purpleish color when the headlight is not on. I will post some pics soon.

Technik, thanks for the info, I visited the website and curious what color LED you got? Are they the blue or super white LED's? How do they match in person with the 8000k HID's? I tried looking for the 4.99 ones, but i cant seem to find them. I see 3.99 ones that are colored. The 4.99's change colors or something. Thanks man!

The leds you can get them here
http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...gi?product=CAR

The first image is WLED 1-LED bulb (white) which is the last one on the page

The second image is WLED 6-LED bulb (white), 5th one from the bottom

superbrightleds and autolumination both sell pretty much the same stuff, i get leds from both, the ones i currently use are from super, the 6-led one. Dont forget to get 2 load equalizers as well.
