Considering upgrading to a 500 Cab

I'd be trading in my '05 CLK 320 Cab, but I'm asking for pros/cons. I'll attach a pic of the possible new (to me) car.

Get the coupe. In my opinion the cab destroys the beautiful lines of the coupe. Also, it's lighter and performs better.

Gorgeous interior, but I'd only have the coupe, no way the cabrio!

CLK 200 KOMPRESSOR Elegance
Mmmm fantastic colour combo !

Why so anti-cab ??

The lines aren't THAT different with the top up ??

I was thinking of going for a cab next year !

Do it. The CLK cabs are one of the best looking cars on the market with the top down. Plus the AMG styling on the 500 makes the car look much more agressive.

I think the top up is better than the coupe too since it doesn't make the car look like it has a huge butt.

Word. Do it, the interior is smokin, looks like you can live in it. Get the cab it's much more fun to drive with the top down. I have the SLK and rarely do I have the top up, so disregard all the smooth lines of the coupe, it's irrelevant.

I actually thought about the CLK500 cab last year, almost brought it too but the SLK's hardtop and manual transmission sway me towards it. CLK's interior is much nicer IMO.

I'd go for the SL rather than the SLK for a hard top Cabrio. I had the old SLK and enjoyed that so I test drove the new SLK55 for 72 hrs followed by the CLK55 Cabrio for 72 hrs. The difference was amazing. I felt like I was in a huge room in the CLK compared to being a rat in a box with the new SLK and it felt cheaply made compared to the old SLK. In the end, I opted for the CLK Coupe. However each to their own and I"m coming off the topic.

Talking This Interior is NICE...

Go for it. CLK500 is a just a great car, and with a Convertible top down, it is just a stunning sight.

What exactly is this Interior Color Combo? Is it custom or stock. This is the first time that I am seeing it in a CLK.

Nope, I wouldn't, SL feels like a boat, doesn't handle at all, plus it looks old, I'm only 30, don't want ppl to mistaken that I'm driving my dad's car. Plus I like the looks of the SLK better. Cheaply made compared to the old SLK. lol.. 9 out of 10 ppl will tell you that it's a great improvement from the older version. The r170 interior looks like barbie (plastic), hence cheap, I would never considered the r170, smaller, girly looking, just not for me. Each to their own is correct.

I'm 28 with the CLK.. but hell I'd have a SL class over this.
Here in Europe, or the Netherlands in particular, woman drive mainly SLK's.
But it depends how you look at it. Larger cars are not for older guys! Otherwise I gotta wait to my 40's should I ever buy a Ferrari!
Anyways, each to their own opinion.

It's stock interior, the window sticker said it is close to a $10k option, and I'm not considering the coupé because a) I live in FL. and b) I already have an '05 CLK cab and don't want to convert to a hardtop. Thanks for your opinions, I am trying to work a deal as of the moment, they are asking 69k, but edmunds says w/ CPO it's only worth ~63k (dealer retail, PP = 55ish)
