Not 100% relevant to this thread as a whole, but after reading the last couple posts, I monitored my freeway mileage on my drive in to work the other morning to see how it compared to the number above and the results were interesting.

15 mile stretch on Hwy 280, 54F Ambient Temp
My weight (170lbs) + 2 spare tires in the trunk, 1/4 tank of gas
65mph average speed, 28.5 mpg

I've never really paid much attention to the car's gas mileage in the past and don't know how this compares to the car before my mods. I don't have my car chipped but thought it was worth posting.

I've never gotten anything near that gas mileage. The best I've gotten at 65 mph average speed is 23 mpg. Was it like that when it was stock or do you think the mods contribute to your better gas mileage?

I honestly never looked before and don't know how representative it was or how it compares to the car when it was stock. My sig pic shows all of the mods on the car (except the resonator delete), and my non-educated guess would be the reduced weight of the rotors/wheels and/or lighter pulleys.

Im sure all your mods had to do with it. I have never had any numbers like that. Cant wait to do the chip/pulley mods. The S.S. exhaust after that.

I went ahead and retested the car. I was a bit suspicious about the 28mpg number and figured that it was incorrect for some reason. I didn't mention that I had been driving through the rolling hills of CA and didn't have cruise control on, and it looks like the conditions and my driving style on that day skewed the number that the computer showed.

I retested the car on 100% flat ground with the cruise control on and observed the following:

65mph w/ Cruise Control
7/8 of a tank (91 octane)
Me @ 170 lbs + two spare tires in the trunk
54F, 0ft elevation
25 Mile Distance
25.5mpg by the Trip Computer
