A before and after dyno is crucial to see if you are actually getting any gains.

How to remove mercedes ecu in a clk

Hello guys heres my how to guide on the removing the ecu. This took me about 10 minutes.
1. Turn car on, then turn wipers on, turn off car with wipers vertical.
2. Go ahead and lift hood to second poistion (vertical) this will help.
3. The ecu is located in the top right drivers side of the car under a plastic piece which is easily removed then under the plastic top is a plastic box with 2 clamps on the front inside is the ecu and fuses.
4. I then used masking tape and number the 5 connectors.
5. Remove all 5 connectors.
6. ECU is retained by a single white clip, push it forward and pull it out.
7. The ECU will simply slide up and out your done

I've really been thinking about doing this, especially for the cheap (compared to PowerChip, Brabus, Kleeman, etc) price. The main reason I want it is for faster full throttle acceleration (basically, faster 0-60, 1/4 mile, etc). I've just been waiting for someone to get this chip upgrade because I don't want to blow 300 on something that won't really make me faster. Can't wait to see the results.

Hello guys sorry i was a little under the weather yesterday but sent out my ecu on monday and recieved back on wend. i can not even believe the difference. There is alot of power in the middle rpm range the car with the esp will leave black streaks for about 20 feet. The performance difference is alot more than i expected the top speed limiter has also been removed. A+ this is the second car i have had done by oliver at speedtuningusa and i highly reccomend them. The whole process was painless and for under $300 dollars it is the best mod i have done to my car. If you have any questions i will be glad to answer

What area do you live in if you don't mind me asking. Maybe we could help you find a place with a dyno machine, because I'm dying to know how much power the car is putting out.

Wow, I can't wait to do this mod. I just gotta try and schedule 3 days where I don't need my car. How is the top end power differences? Do you think it feels faster under WOT or just at mid-range "useful" power?

No, I doubt that he is a vendor and I do trust him. This is what the forums are about, suggesting mods to those that are interested, and telling them others of their experience. He said he had a good one, I will be trying it soon.
