AMG Rear brake package

Hey there.. anyone know of a low-cost place for me to get the REAR brakes on my w209 changed to the AMG brakes? I've already got the fronts, as you can see - now the rear brake calipers and discs look puny

YOu just contradicted your self there bro.... Low cost and MB do not belong in the same sentence.... in any case, you might want to check classified as forum members tend to upgrade there braking systems..

call your MB dealer, I asked for CLK 55 front brakes and they were around 650 a piece, so the rears have to be cheaper.

Why would you ever goto the dealer for OEM parts? They are the most expensive and thats why they're called the $tealer. There are other places you can go to get the same OEM part for a much better price.

I'd need calipers, rotors, and pads...

I'm in the same boat. Almost impossible to find parts for 2004 & up CLK's outside of dealer. Kleemann & Brembo brake kits are very expensive. AMG calipers & rotors would be fine but can't find them anywhere. Can't even find crossdrilled rotors for these cars. That would be fine except Mercedes paid no attention to the rear calipers on these cars. Anybody havew an answer?

Thanks

03' CLK 55 AMG
Here's a link to Mercedes' AMG website:

http://www.mbusa.com/amg/index.jsp

In there, if you look at the 03'-05' CLK 55's technical data under "chassis" you will notice it states that the rear brakes are 13" internally ventilated with 4 piston calipers.

Now if you go to the 03'-06' E 55's technical data under "chassis", it says the same thing, 13" internally ventilated 4 piston calipers except its perforated in the rear just like the fronts.

So I'm assuming you can replace your rears with E55's rear brakes?.... I don't know but my stock rear brakes sure don't look like there 13s too me.
Just something I came across just a few days ago.
