new clk500, advice needed! thx

Does anyone have new capri blue clk pics? I placed an order for one with black/blue interior a month ago. Now I have doubts on it, not sure how the capri blue would look like. I was told that the blue is closer to purple, is it true?... please advice! thanks.

Ehhh.. I dunno about removing all doubts.. the car is nice, no doubt about it - but as you can kinda see from the pictures, its got a purpleish tint to it.. personally, I think the dopest blue is below:

<center> </center>

That's called Iolite blue... I'm not sure if its available over here in the US, but that's the best color blue out there.

capri blue vs iolite

Have to agree that the "iolite blue" out does capri, but have no idea if it will be available in US. Perhaps it is one of those designo colors that we don't get. Capri is too dark for my taste, but its purple tinge actually sets it apart in a unique way. At least you won't see yourself coming and going as it is a rather limited choice color. I find it amazing that the dealers are not provided large size paint samples like they used to have when the new colors were announced. Does anyone even have a full line brochure with the color samples for 2003 on any vehicle other than the SL?

In any event, Ill be at the factory picking up a car on European Delivery next week and will try to track down more infor on the iolite blue's availability for the US.

why not get the best CLK color - WHITE
hehehe. i think white with 2 tone charcoal and red would look really nice. Then later you can do the brembo brake upgrade..

Color

Bear in mind, the same color is often called different names in different markets. Certain colors (I can't remember which) are available in both the U.S. and U.K., but have different names. The key is to compare the numeric paint codes to see if two similar looking colors are the same.
