Hi,

I did purchase mine from cqlights... When I ordered online I specified that I have a w209 and I called in to confirm. The problem I faced was when I first received the order they forgot to include a special harness for mb's. Since then they sent me a harness (took about a week).

Below is a list of pro's and con's:

PRO's

1) relatively cheap
2) decent materials used (relative to price)
3) fairly easy to install if proper harness was included

CON's

1) lights flicker when drive on rough surfaces
2) car displays periodic malfunctions because of hid's
3) 6k are to blue for my taste
4) hard to contact company, I found their # on my credit card statement

rsatmans please let me know if you can help me remedy the malfunctions. Thanks

Hey, im not sure about the flicker or even the message since i have never experenced this. The special harness must have flipped the + and the - to change the polarity i would guess. Im sorry your having problems. Quick question did they send you a silver box or a blue box plus a small black boc for the igniter thanks

With my HIDs, they flicker a lot and even take a couple of minutes to warm up when the weather is below 40 degrees. Once they're on and warmed up, they work perfect though. Besides that, they are such a cool mod. Gives the car a more exotic look. And I love blinding people lol.

wenlyone hey, most people will agree you shouldnt put a hid kit into a stock headlight housing because it will cause excessive glare to the other drivers. Also the light will not be distributed properly causeing a loss in lights. Your best bet would be to go with stock bixenon retrofit. However there isnt a problem with the fogs because they are mounted so low they dont affect others driver that much and they do not serve as your primary light.

This is a great diy for the e class. It also has something to fix the flicker some may have experienced.
