What exactly did you order? I'm not sure which bulb the fog lights use, and I'm also wondering if whatever you're using will work in my W211 as well as my W209.

Thanks for the info. I'm not sure if I'll do a true HID conversion on the fogs rather than just substituting a bulb that looks whiter to go with the bi-xenons.

That's what I did, I changed the parking and fog bulbs so that they have the same color as the xenons...it looks so much better. But xenon fogs must be awesome, I'd ride around with just the fogs on :p

Which bulbs did you use in the fogs? (I've already ordered PIAA 19172's for the parking lights, which is what I've been running in my E).

I'm not exactly sure, but I think they are called H7's (they are fake HID Xenons)...sorry, wish I kept the box...they are not even close to the brightness of the HID's, and when the HID's are on you can't see the blinkers or parking lights from far away.

Where did you mount the ballasts for the foglights? Was there enough room near the lights?

lol i used industrial strength velcro to secure the ballast as a temp. solution it has held well. Not sure about drilling holes in my car. There are plenty of mounting location in the bottom of the engine compartment.

The website he listed has the 9006 Fog Light HID's kit for $179.00... I don't mean to answer for him, just that I looked into the kit also... $179.00 seems quite reasonable compared to some HID kits I've seen on the net...

Just curious, what did you think of the quality of the ballasts, ignitors, harness and bulbs...? I looked into the website and the prices are way low compared to other kits I've seen... The 9006 HID fogs kits is like $179.00 and the H7 headlight kits are also $179.00... That's the lowest price I've seen by far which makes me curious about the parts they are using...

The kits has held up over year now and i have no complaints. It has a seperate igniter and ballast. Some more expensive units like over 300 have a igniter and ballast in one unit. Overall i believe the kit is well made and has held up well. I dont believe theirs a better value out there.

Hi

So, I will need the 9006HID Conversion kit for my fog lights?, and will another set of H7 HID Kit fit into my High Beam Light?

Another question, what is the best side light that I can get? possible for a HID Side light??

Please let me know!

I got my head light converted today and it looks the nuts!, (You can see in the other post!)

Yes, your correct 9006 for fogs and h7 for highbeams. For highbeam i would go with the 5000k for the most output after about 5800k the lumens start to decrease. I have 6500k in my lowbeam and 8000k in my fog. If i had to do it over i would have done 6500k in lowes and 6500k in my fogs for more light. The 6500k is a perfect balance for colour and light.

Hey, if you need help just ask me. Everything is pretty straight forward exact one part. should take about 30 minutes to do a proper install.

need help with hid bulbs

I tried to install mine today on my w209, I received 2 malfunctions and the lights flicker and won't stay on. Does anyone have carlabs #? Does anyone have suggestions? I thought this unit was plu and play.... I guess I'll have to use my high-beams for now.
