Getting irritated about this release date garbage
OK, the CLK 500 I ordered has been in Jacksonville since July 15th. Dealer doesn't know shipping or release.
I have written two e-mails to Mercedes USA--no answer. Bad manners, not to answer your mail. I know the addresses are right. If anybody wants to bother them too, please reply.
Continue to drive the stinking rent-a-car.
Any word out there?

I feel your pain, buddy. At least you'll have your car within a week or two! I was #7 at my dealership, and they hadn't "earned" my car as of 2 weeks ago. I did hear that a huge shipment is currently on the water and should be arriving in a week or so, but I won't have my car before September 1st.
At least you get to beat the ***** out of a rental Benz!

Woohoo! I've heard for a few weeks that the official release date for the CLK's will be around August 15th, I guess this makes it official.
I definitely feel for you guys who have your cars built, in the US, and just sitting at the VPC. Mercedes produces great cars, but they are a bunch of sinister, twisted b@astards to have our cars just sitting there as summer passes us by.
I'm sorry, but I just don't like being f*cked with - and my baby just sitting there is being f*cked with!!
