I have a 2004 CLK500

When I pull the handle on the drivers seat to get into the back seat,
I see the headrest go down, but the seat does not move foward at all

What could be wrong?

I believe that the system works other then this problem because when I get in the car the steering wheel moves down, the seat moves forward, etc...

Any advice?

try moving the seat forward or backward, you will find the position that will allow it to fold forward some more.

If its not far back enough it doesnt allow the seat to come off of the track and foward.
