![Question](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I went to install my sub/amp in the trunk, everything works great except the wire i thought was the remote turn on lead from the head unit (blue wire in bundle going to the stock amp) is actually a constant 12v.
Does anyone know where i can tap into the remote turn on lead from the head unit? Or does it even exist since the remote-on can be sent through D2B?
Or if anyone knows an easy ACC wire i can reach in the trunk? I don't mind using that.
Thanks,

2005 CLK500
I know this is a very old thread, but I also need the same info.
I used the blue wire first and realised its a constant power. Then I connected the black wire from head unit to remote turn on for the new amp. Works fine with CDC and CD player but when I switch to radio, amp is powered on but no sound from the sub. Can anyone tell me what color wire should be used for remote to connect to the amp? Its a 2005 CLK500. Thank you in advance

If you don't mind using ACC, there is, apparently two relays on the rear SAM, in the trunk, that have 15R connections. Perhaps you could use that?

all i had to do is to remove all other components on the fiber optic loop, unplug them, and install a fiber optic adapter bypass to bypass them without interruption in the fiber optic track
bow car doesn’t need to spend 8 min waking them up in the absence of comand unit.
