CLK 500 Throttle Response?
How is the throttle response on the CLK500?
I am used to driving a BMW, and having the feel of direct control of the throttle with my foot. I hope that makes sense. My wife's 2001 C240 never acts if I have control of the throttle.
Bottom line, in the MB I feel disconnected from the engine. Please tell me that the CLK 500 is different?

No, it's the patented "Valvtronic" of BMW. Not Mercedes.
With the "2.82" final ratio of an Mercedes V8, it's not as agile as
a lighter C32AMG, either.
Floor it, how about 6" to hit 62 mph ?

do respond quickly than C.(from users feedback)
As to the shorter chassis roadster(FR), they're also quick
response than a sedan,e.g SLK is quicker than C,too.
(different weight is another factor)
The same feeling when drive a "RR" Porsche.

The 3 does not have a valvetronic eng..
The 3 series does not use a valvtronic engine.
It has a Double-Vanos steplessly variable valve timed engine.
The Valvtronic hasn't been put into anything but the new 7!
I also understand HP/Weight ratios etc. In my opinion, this question can not be answered by anyone but by an ex-BMW driver.
