Charcol Vs. Ash on Obsidian Black
#2
I chose Ash with my Black CLK 500. I would get charcoal for one reason, the top of the dash is Ash and it reflects in the windshield. While I like Ash better, the glare is annoying. My 2001 BMW 330 Ci had Sand, a light beige. At least they were smart enough to make the top of the dash a darker color.
I had Silver/Charcoal on my CLK 430.

Ash Windshield Glare
How severe is the reflection of the dashboard in the windshield? Is it always present? I would really like to have the Ash interior, but not if it is a hazard to driving. Anyone else have a problem like this with an Ash interior?

Obsidian Black with Charcoal
That is what i orderd for my CLK500.
MY 2000 CLK430 is black with ash, and i don't like that ash, it get dirty quick and when i tint the window it take away from the tint beacuse ash is to light. Unless you go with very very dark tint
My 2 cents

CLK55 and Yukon Denali
I agree w/ llakers. I had ordered stone because I had charcoal in my 2002 but when I looked at photos the charcoal looked better to me. The charcoal does look AMAZING inside. That's not to say that the ash doesn't- I just think the charcoal looks much richer. Black opal will look fantastic.
