Floor mats

My Cadet Blue 2006 CLK350 came with black floor mats even though the interior is Stone. Is this common? At first I didn't like the black mats, but after seeing how dirty the lower door panel gets from shoe scuffs, I'm OK with it.

(FYI, this was the ONLY thread on floor mats I found when I STFFed!!)

When I picked up my pre-owned 2006 Silver CLK350, it had black floor mats, which I was told were the "wrong" mats, like the seller mixed them up or something, but this thread seems to indicate that maybe black came with it when new. My dealer was offering a sale which reduced mats to $94 total and I was about to buy the grey ones till I read this thread's point about scuffs and such. Any thoughts?

I have the grey all-weather mats, I don't have any scuffs on them. The carpets will get dirty no matter what. Black looks dirty more easily, but lighter colors saturate/stain... just get the all-weather mats and you won't be so preoccupied with them. I felt much better when I got mine.
