CLK320 (W209) Pulling left
I recently purchased a 2003 CLK320 with 43k miles. When I test drove it I noticed that it was pulling pretty hard to the left. That was the only issue so I used it into negotiating a decent price. Today I took it to the dealer expecting it simply needed an alignment. The dealer called me and said that the alignment was okay but the pulling was caused by a bad tire. There was no physical evidence but the mechanic swore that this was caused by a bad tire and that it could be caused by a steel belt coming loose or the tread seperating.
I have never heard of this before. Have any of you?
Thanks

The technician is most likely correct. Overtime the tires do tend to pull the car either to the right or to the left. The tires are directional tires which does not allow for rotating and will eventualy wear.
Its a minor issue, just go out and buy some new tires. You end up with a better and smoother ride.
