Stereo Upgrade
First thing I want to do when I get my CLK is change the whole stereo. How will this effect the car. I keep reading how the electronics and stereo are all interconnected and if you change the head unit you will have some problems. Anybody have any ideas? Also who would be the best qualified person in South Florida to do this kind of work?

Have you checked out the Bose upgrade? I think it maybe standard on the CLK500 for US model (gripe: US models come with a lot more options than European counterparts).
I got the Bose upgrade, on my clk240. With the bose system, you get a Bose specific bass speaker in the parcel shelf and I think an additional speaker, mid range speaker (centrefill). The soundstage is good especially with CD's.
I'm a bit of a hifi nut, and I can think of the only extra improvement being a better CD player (source), but given the "environment", you may not notice much difference.
I think the bose upgrade comes with it own digital amplifier (hidden in boot I think).
Has anybody tried the non bose setup compared to the bose setup?
