CLK Automatic Seatbelt Arm?

CLK Automatic Seatbelt Arm?
A few weeks ago someone showed me a video from a French car site of the new CLK. It was definately a Euro-spec CLK but it had a cool seat belt arm that when you sat down into the car and closed the door, a little arm would come out and "hand you" the seat belt. I thought it was really impressive, thing is, I went to the E-motion event here in NY and sat in the new 2003 CLK and it didn't have that feature. Neither did the new E-Class. Is this something that is only done in Europe or was that just a pre-release car that MB used to show off to the car magazines? I don't remember the web site that it was on so if anyone knows what I'm talking about, please post the site.
Thanks,
Rob

I am quite sure that the CLK you sat in had that feature, all cars should have it. But for the arm to come out, the key has to be inserted into the ignition (and turned one step?).
The new E does not have this feature on the other hand.

That's a possibility, in that french video, the CLK was equiped with Keyless Go. So when the guy sat in it and closed the door the arm activated and handed him the seat belt. I guess the car knew the driver was in the car and that is the equivalent of having the key turned?

It is also clever enough not to extend the belt on passenger side, if the passenger door is not opened. If you don't put on your belt (which of course you should) it will retract, if your speed exceeds 10mph or I think after a short duration (< 60 seconds)

That is pretty cool. I was hoping the new E-Class would have it as well. I guess you don't have to reach as far back to get the seat belt on the new E as you would have to on a new CLK. Thanks for the info!
