first of all, this is my first post...i'm usually lurkin over on the bmw forums, and im new to the MB world. just picked up a clk320 for my mom, and she loves it. i don't like the rims on it, and was wondering what the going price is on a set of used clk500 17" amg rims is. Maybe I should wait until the clk55 comes out? those double spoke 17's would look nice as well. If i'm not mistaken, is the new clk55 going to have the same rims as the current c32 amg?

another question...teleaid is free for one year, but requires a subscription? exactly how much is this going to cost? we don't need it for the concierge or anything...just for the SOS and the road side assistance. Does everyone here subscribe to the teleaid service? and keep going after the first year?

Also, i know that i can read the manual for the proper break in procedure for the engine, but i was wondering if you guys are taking any extra steps to make sure the engine is broken in properly.

Thanks in advance!

im not sure on the price of continuing the teleaid. i was told that near the end of the first year, that i will be getting something in the mail to continue service.

i was also told that road side service is lifetime for the clk, and that if i didnt want to subscribe to teleaid, i would have to call from a phone other than pushing the "wrench".

i have the clk500, and might be selling the stock rims. let me know if youre interested.

thanks for the responses...MMARK335, if you decide to sell your rims, let me know what your asking price would be. upgrading to the amg rims is on my to-do list, but i want to do more research (look into aftermarket rims, get the clk55 rims), or i may decide to stick with the 16's. best way to reach me is through email.

and here are some shots of my m3...to answer the questions, yes that is a dinan cai, and no those aren't demon eyes. mine are OEM euro ellipsoids, and i didn't (don't want to) get demon eyes.

i need to take new pics

Welcome aboard Sam.
Teleaid - I've heard mixed information regarding Teleaid but what my dealer told me was the subscription is free for one year, or 45 minutes. Whichever comes first. After that, it's $240/yr with a certain amount of minutes (can't remember how many) + a per minute charge above the yearly allowance. Apparently, Teleaid, will renew your subscription after the first year without any warning, you'll just see a charge on your credit card. To prevent this, call your dealer before your 1 yr. anniversary and make sure they cancel Teleaid if you don't want it anymore.

As for breaking in the engine, I kept my speed below 60 on the highway until about 800 miles, gradually increased it to 65 between 800 and 1000. Crossed 1000 today. I don't recall seeing too much information in the manual on proper breaking in procedures but I just might not have read the manual carefully enough. Congrats on the car and enjoy!

strange...i was told that i have 30 minutes of airtime, and that for the following year, i would receive something in writing asking me whether or not i'd like to continue my service. can anyone verify this information?

MMark...my email address is samlee32@hotmail.com (you can also just click the email button next to PM, Profile, etc after each of my posts)

and for anyone interested, here's a pic of my car w/ the updated kidney grills, and with the splitter extended all the way.
