Warranty

I purchase a 2003 CLK500 with 38000 miles. Im wondering if the factory warranty is still good since it was purchased 12/5/2003, I thought it was a 4 year/50,000 mile warranty? Am I correct? If so what is covered, the transmission seems to be acting funny, hope it is covered cause I have a feeling it could be costly!

your covered til 12/2007 or 50k miles. Tranny is definitely covered...what kind of problems are u having? I had my tranny replaced at 40k miles under warranty when i noticed what i can only describe as clutch slipping.

tranny

the tranny feels like its skipping, like a jerks inbetween gears. It does this at around 30- 40 mph, and it does it sometimes on the highway at like 65-70 even on cruise control? Does it sound like the tranny is going bad?

I had that problem too and it was the radiator contaminating the tranny fluid. I ended up having to replace the radiator, torque converter and the tranny. Thank god it was covered under warranty. This appears to be a common problem; if you do a search, there are others out there that has had the same experience.

same here...had that exact problem and had everything replaced under warranty. Fluid was leaking into the tranny.

I asked the mechanic, and he said that they replace a hose that cracks and leaks into the tranny.

Shouldnt happen again was wat i was told.

If i remember correctly, took 3 days to get my car back. Ran like new with a new tranny.

car has over 50k miles..was replaced around 30k ...no problems !

Ditto with me... I had the same experience and the car runs a lot smoother now.

Regardless of new or previously enjoyed, MBUSA stopped providing free loaners... In Canada they just give you a B200 Turbo regardless of vehicle you brought in...
