Storage room in center console

Storage room in center console
Hello all!
I got my first Benz (CLK55 W209) last weekend. And although the car is amazing, I'm struggling to find space for the little things I had in my previous BMW.
The glove box is basically not usable for anything because of the CD changer.
Can it be installed somewhere else with reasonable effort ? In the truck for example?
Then there is a big storgage in the center console / armrest - however there is something installed in it that uses up most of the space. I'm assuming that it has to do with cell phone / teleaid. Not sure though.
Does anyone know what it is and if it can be removed? TeleAid will be switched off soon anyway and I didn't subscribe in the first place...

the larger space occupying thing in the center console is the blower fan for the rear passangers. The cd changer can be moved to the rear provided you excend the power and fiber cable to the rear. Not worth the trouble.
