It's an easy install...

Remove the bolt that holds the gas pedal assembly to the floor board. Pull the assembly down to expose the wires and you will see where the sprint booster should clip in at the top of the assembly. Then just push the wires in and re-install the gas pedal. Should take you about 15-20 minutes.

If you need illustration, there is a photograph of how it should look if you search the CLS forum.

it's beyond easy. Find yourself a 10mm socket wrench before you start.. you can't use pliers.

Get on the ground next to your drivers side door (take out the floormat, and use it under your knees.

Looking at the plastic vertical piece right behind your gas pedal. In the middle, there's a round plastic cap. Yank that up with the edge of a sharp knife, a flat-head screwdriver, whatever... under that is a 10mm nut. Use the socket wrench and take out the nut. Pull up a bit on the pedal, and it will come right off - pulling it down towards the floor will reveal the wire harness that comes out the top of it.

Unplug the harness and plug your SprintBooster in line with the original harness - it only goes one way, so if it clicks, you got it. Tuck the now-longer wiring harness into the space above the pedal, and you put the pedal back into place. The top edge goes first into the top piece, then you wedge the bottom in, aligning that bolt that holds on the bottom part. Once it slides into place, replace the 10mm nut and that plastic cap. This whole process should not take more than 10 minutes, or need the removal of any other bolts or screws - if it does, you're doing something wrong.

Take it for a test drive.

You're gonna also need a pack of Halls or Fisherman's Friend or some sort of lozenge throat drops when you're done too.....

Thanks fellas for all the help. Was just as easy as you guys implied. Car really does feel like an animal.

As far as purchasing one goes you can get one thru slkfans, ebay, search the c class boards and I'm sure theres at least one other place you can get one. I was lucky enough to get mine from a fellow board member for $190 shipped.

Thanks again.

Okay, I give up.
Just what is this magic "Sprint Booster" that makes the car "feel like an animal"...?

Thanks!

There's a thread full of explanation and scepticism in the W203 forum.

Basically Sprintbooster eliminates the delay in throttle response and causes it to be more sensitive. Because newer MBs are "drive by wire", the throttle waits for the signals when you step on the accelerator. There is a delay from when you press gas pedal down to the point where the throttle opens up. Sprintbooster eliminates it and as a result your gas pedal becomes more sensitive. It does not add any additional power or torque, but by increasing throttle response you get a faster take off.

Do it!!! Do it!!!

It gives the car a direct throttle response rather than having that lag when you step on the accelerator. The car is now more fun to drive and it feels amazing.

I was a skeptic at first, but I'm converted now that I've installed it.

Thanks LB. It really is a must have. I love the throttle response it seriously feels like a new car. If you are thinking about it I say save the extra $270 and buy one even if you dont like it post it in the classifieds and youll sell it in like 5 min to the others who are waiting for one but cant get it from SLKFANS. The addiction continues for me, I just picked up some Bi-xenons and finally got my Brabus exhaust installed last week. I love the tone of that thing. Post your reactions to the booster when you get it (cause I know your gonna get one..lol).
