CLK350 or BMW 335i coupe

My lease is up in June, just wondering what to get. CLK350 I can get for $535 w/ nav & sport appearance for 27m 12k miles. 2nd option is a 328i coupe fully loaded for the same.

W209 CLK
Depends on what your style is.

If you're going to lease it or not planning on modding it then go with the Mercedes as the interior I find is a lot nicer and more comfortable. I've always found BMW interior empty and plain.

If your catch the mod bug easily and like to customize your ride, go with BMW as there are more options for the 335 than the CLK.

They're in two totally different classes. The CLK is more for comfort and luxury where as the BMW is more fun to drive and sportier.

Do you want a 328 or 335?

Either way, I'd go for the 3 series just because the CLK is getting dated and and 3 series has a fresh new design. And the 335 blows away the CLK350 in terms of performance.

2004 CLK320
The Bimmer 3-series has newer deisgn but in my opinion, the current CLK is still a better looking car, in both exterior and interior.

If you're looking for performance, take the Bimmer for sure.

'07 CLK550 Coupe
335

I would get 335 coupe over CLK350.
Looks much sportier and has better performance.

I would take the 335 for performance...but you can always get a used CLK55 and mod that....

either way, you'll be in a good situation....

does the 335 have the pillar-less window feature like the CLK?? Not sure but when all the windows are down it looks cool...

clk...everyone and there momma has the new 3 series...and if your trying to find a coupe ...GOOD LUCK pretty much every place has a waiting list/ and has none on the lot.... 27 month lease means you would be in the old style clk for a couple of months after the new one came out...nothing wrong with that

Has anyone gotten prices for a 335 convertible, manual ? trying to figure if I want a 335 with the 6 cylinder or a CLK550 convertible. Leaning towards the 8 cylinder 550. Gas will have it's ups and downs.

Drove a 335 convert last weekend. Not to impressive. The interior is nice, but it didn't feel any faster than my CLK. Also if you are a golfer, forget about putting your clubs in the trunk ever. The trunk was a dealbreaker for me. Couldn't even get groceries in there with the top down.

Price of a well equipped 335 (everything but Idrive and active steering) will be 55k or so, a comparable 550 cab will be 65k. The 335 stacks up against the 350 pricewise. Also there are no financing deals or price negotiation on the BMWs because they are new models in high demand.

Good luck getting a 335 coupe, the two dealers I tried were sold out for 2007 and also said the cars are being held up due to a parts shortage for an oil cooler.

Get the 550 and you won't see yourself coming and going at every stoplight. The new CLK won't hit the US until mid-2009 at the earliest, cabs probably in mid 2010. Do a 3 year lease on a 550.
