Exclamation Loud Pop When Turning

Has anyone noticed a large popping sound when making slow sharp turns in a CLK 500? I don't know much about parts, but it's almost as if it sounds like something is popping into/out of place in the front axel. Obviously, I have no clue what it is, but thought someone on here could help!

Does it happen intermittently? While turning in a specific direction?

Hows your suspension? Your strut bearings might need to be replaced.

happens while at full-turn or almost full-turn. best example is when i'm backing out of a parking spot. seems like it happens whether it's full left or full right, but now that i think about it, maybe just full right.

suspension feels fine though

This might help narrow things down.

Alt- jack vehicle up and support with jackstand. Put hands on 12 and 6, try to shake, it the wheel moves and clicks, it's a wheel bearing.

Control Arm Bushings (CABs)- In reverse, turn wheel to full lock (left or right) and see if car skips, or suspension binds making a thud. Either way replace both at same time if noise is observed.

Tie-rods- jack vehicle up and support with jackstand. Put hands on 9 and 3, try to shake, it the wheel moves and clicks, it's a tie-rod. Replace both left and right.

Alt- turn key to position 2, do not start. Place hand at 12 on the steering wheel and move back and forth. If you hear click/thud/bang/noise, get buddy, offer bear, isolate sound, inner or outer tie rods, steering rack, hub/wheel bearing.

Strut- really lean into that sucker and bounce car up and down. See if you can duplicate noise.

Sway endlinks would be any bump but are also a possibility.

etc. etc. etc.

---I know I am more abusive then most MB owners here, but I replace the stuff all the time. I was going through endlinks like fat girls do cake, I am on my 3rd set of CABs and arms, etc. It's really surprising how inferior some of these parts are compared to some other cars on track.

I'm not as savvy as some are here so I need to take this in to have done. Curious, is this something best saved for the dealer to take care of (on an extended warranty now) or can I go to some local wheel guy?

Definitely bring it to the dealer and have them take a look at if, especially if your under warranty.

Zero Result

So I took in the car to the dealership who basically found nothing wrong. In fact, he told me that many people complain of the same popping sound coming from their rack. And even if it is replaced, the car will continue to make that sound. Does that seem right to anyone? Something about hydraulics and air popping on turns. It's a little frustrating.
