M3 Vs Clk
M3 or CLk 320?
whats the price of a new M3 ?
what about a used one?with about 300-1000 miles?
im thinking of getting a used one with very low miles...how much will it cost?
CLK 320 costs 52,000 out the door....
so im thinking of getting a used M3 instead with very low miles...
guys gibve me your opinions....
im 17 this year and car racing thrills me ..... is it worth it?
or shoud i get the luxurious and more prestigious CLk 320?
i cant seem to decide.....
please help me out...
how much a used and new m3 cost?
I am more of a luxury person...CLK320 is a great car, although the V6 is plenty for me, it will not be for a 17 year old that likes to race.
If money is no object, get a CLK500, send it to Brabus and for another $25K you can turn it into a powerhouse.
If you want speed...M3 without question.

i've driven my bro's C 320 and its not that fast,,,,but i think its still ok to me because i have only driven for about a year

I "was" in this same CLK vs M3 situation.
I am a huge BMW fan. Over the last few years, I went from a Z3 -> M Roadster -> Ordered M3
I have been driving sports cars for awhile, and needed something with more room, comfort, and still speedy.
Enter the CLK500
The CLK500 is far more elegant and comfortable than the M3. The M3 handles better than a CLK, but the M3 ride is much rougher. Define handles better? On the track maybe? I doubt that the M3 will out handle the CLK while whizzing through traffic at 80 mph or faster. I don't track cars, so that arguement is shot. Braking? Haven't been in a Mercedes or BMW yet that didn't stop on a dime.
Engines? I am concerned about the large number of M3 engines blowing regardless of BMW's claim that the problem only affected 11/01 build cars. Their are documented 2002 build failures. I am not saying that the CLK500 will be perfect, but I also own a 2001 C240, with 25k on it and it's as solid as the first day I got it. Let's see what happens when we slap a Supercharger on the CLK500's V8. If you are looking only at 0-60 performance, than get an M3. Personally, I have seen enough "expert" manual drivers to tell you that most people will never see 0-60 in 4.8 unless they use SMG launch control.
0-60 Stats (US):
CLK 500: 0-60 in 5.7
CLK 320: 0-60 in 7.4
M3 Coupe: 0-60 in 4.8
M3 Cab: 0-60 in 5.4
An auto magazine recently ran the M3 Coupe and CLK500 and found a very small margin of difference in either the quarter mile run or 0-60. I can't remember the magazine.
