I think you have to see it in person first. I thought the same thing when I saw pictures of the new CL on the internet. I saw it in real life and it's gorgeous. IMO, the new CLK looks better than the new M3.

Was going to wait for the new CLK to replace our 05 but the kids have just shouted us a new Jaguar XKR convertible.
Will keep the CLK as the Jag is really only a two seater.
Dont like the higher bonnet line on the new Merc's but I guess we will get used to it.

The new XKR is gorgeous.
That above pic of the droptop looks like a convertible CL.
When I saw the pics of the new CL and new S class I thought they were hideous. Then, when I saw the new S class in person I thought it was the most beautiful sedan on the road. I helped my mother get one and now its one of the best looking cars in our driveway.
When I saw the CL in person, it was just as ugly as the pictures. The interior was nice just like the S class but the bulbous front and stupid taillights aren't enough to justify this car. Yes, the new CL63 looks very cool and I'd definitely take it but its pathetic that you need the AMG bodykit to make this car look good.
